Family Advocacy Support Services delivers a range of services reflective of the position level (Social Support Worker and Social Support Men’s Worker) to clients in situations of family violence, as part of integrated services provided by the Family Court Services and FASS.
Clients will include those experiencing, and those who may be using family violence.
Services include:
- Safety planning
- Advocacy
- Support and referral for non-legal issues. Non-legal issues include counselling, behavioural change programs, –
- Accommodation support,
- Income support and financial counselling.
- The priority for the Men’s Social Support Worker will be to provide services to men, however, may provide services to women if there are no male clients or work to perform for male clients.
