Multicultural Kids in Focus
Multicultural Kids in Focus (MKIF) provides counselling and advocacy to children from multicultural backgrounds at risk of homelessness, primarily due to family and domestic violence.
Our Child Advocates provide support to children aged 4 to 14 years and their families using a child-focused approach to assess the wellbeing of the child. We also provide the child and their family with emotional support and holistic care, throughout these services:
Emotional support for children through individual sessions
Connecting the children/family with other organisations and services
Art therapy for the child to explore and express their feelings
Liaising with schools and other agencies
Engagement in recreational and social activities
