DV-alert one day First Nations training
Lifeline WA and Ngala invite you to attend free family and domestic violence training during the 16 Days in WA – Stop Violence Against Women campaign. Please join us to learn some valuable skills, network with other service providers and the local community, and to play a part in stopping violence against women and children. This one-day workshop is further training for frontline workers who have completed any two-day DV-alert workshop, it focuses on family violence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contexts. Frontline workers will learn how to:
- Recognise the signs of domestic violence
- Respond appropriately and
- Refer to support services relevant to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
This workshop is catered, please include dietary requirements on registration. The DV-alert program is fully funded by The Department of Social Services, delivered by Lifeline and is offered completely free of charge. Thank you to Ngala for hosting this workshop.
