Service Details

This service provides preliminary advice, assistance and, on occasion, minor casework on a wide range of issues including family law, violence restraining orders (for applicants only), child support, and other civil law.

This service provides:

  • Free preliminary legal advice on a range of general matters to eligible community members
  • Ongoing legal support and casework provided at discretion of lawyer
  • Legal information and referrals
  • Community Legal Education sessions in a range of matters including family law, restraining orders, advanced planning and criminal injuries compensation
  • Duty Lawyer service in Family Court and Magistrates Court
  • Outreach legal clinics provided at various locations around the South West
  • Domestic violence wraparound service
  • Tenancy Advocacy; advice and court advocacy for eligible tenancy issues
  • Please note most services are by appointment only
