Chrysalis House Women’s Refuge provides safe and supported accommodation for women, with or without children, who are escaping family violence or are at risk of being homeless as a result of crisis.
Service include:
- Safe, secure crisis accommodation for up to 3 weeks
- Development of safety plans
- Practical and emotional assistance and support
- Outreach support services
- Information and advocacy
- Referrals to other agencies, like providers of housing, income, legal and medical services
- Children’s services – a child support worker works with children to reduce the harmful affects of family violence; creche services are also available
- Chrysalis House can accommodate children and youth up to the age of 18 years, with appropriate recreation activities available
- Staffed 24 hours 7 days a week. Staff work hard to make sure our accommodation services are a homely environment and we encourage you to have a chat with staff if you’re feeling uncertain about using the service
