Pride in Respect – Specialist Support Service
We support LGBTIQA+SB people and people questioning their sexuality and/or gender identity aged 18+ years and living in Western Australia who are impacted by family, domestic and /or sexual violence.
We also provide guidance to frontline workers, services and community groups to better support LGBTIQA+SB people impacted by family, domestic and/or sexual violence.
What we provide:
- Case management, which includes risk assessment, safety planning, goal-directed support and linkage to appropriate services.
- Secondary consultation and guidance for frontline workers, services and community groups.
- Referrals and warm connections to appropriate supports for LGBTIQA+SB people.
- Information and resources tailored to the unique experiences of LGBTIQA+SB communities.
Our aim is to ensure that LGBTIQA+SB individuals impacted by family, domestic and sexual violence can access safe, affirming, and culturally centred support, while also helping equip practitioners with the tools and knowledge to respond effectively in their own capacity.
Our qualified and skilled team are trained and provide trauma informed, specialised FDV support, information, case management and referrals. We are part of the LGBTIQA+SB community with a range of lived experience and intersectional identities
