Service Details

CCLS provides a Financial Abuse Legal Service.

The Financial Abuse Legal Service provides free legal advice and support for women experiencing financial abuse to address complex legal and financial matters and reclaim their financial future. The service combines specialist legal advice, a case worker to provide support and targeted referrals and access to financial counsellors through partnerships with The Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul.

CCLS also provides free, confidential legal advice on credit, debt and consumer law issues through our Telephone Advice Line and ongoing legal representation to people experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage.

Through our community legal education and law reform campaigns, CCLS promotes financial rights and advocates to improve financial systems and consumer laws.
