End Gender Based Violence – 16 Days in WA Community Event: Breaking the Silence on Family Violence- Joondalup

Joondalup and Mirrabooka Department of Communities – Family Safety Service along with key stakeholders from the Family and Domestic Violence sector are holding a community event to raise awareness to end gender based violence with a particular focus on the role that FDV plays in a being a key driver of homelessness for victim/survivors and their families.

This event will include a Welcome to Country, smoking ceremony, and speeches from keynote and lived experience speakers. Following the speeches, there will be a short march in the Joondalup CBD. Numerous services that work in the Family and Domestic Violence space will have marquees set up in the park to provide information on their service to the public following the march. There will also be food trucks and coffee vans on site.

Location: Central Park, 187 Grand Boulevard, Joondalup
