23% of Western Australian women have experienced sexual violence since the age of 15 and 28.5% of Australians have experienced childhood sexual abuse.
Aboriginal women account for 25% of hospitalisations as a result of sexual assault.

We recognise the impacts of colonisation and dispossession and the contemporary disadvantage experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
